Helping People Find What Comes Next

About jeff Rogers

The day I flew home from Kunsan Air Base, South Korea, I knew it was my last military assignment.

I had 20 years behind me. A career I was proud of. And a future I couldn't quite see yet.

On that flight home, I felt everything at once - happy to be reunited with my family, sad to be leaving the only identity I'd known as an adult, anxious to start something new, and honestly terrified I wouldn't be able to pull it off.

Nobody warns you about that moment. The uniform comes off and suddenly the question nobody prepared you for is sitting right in front of you:

Who are you now?

That question is why Strengthen the Positive exists.

What I Do

I'm a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran, author, speaker, and transition coach. I work with Veterans and individuals navigating major life and career changes - helping them find clarity, rebuild confidence, and move forward with a real sense of direction and purpose.

This isn't motivational noise. It's practical work, grounded in real experience, built for people who are done drifting and ready to move.

My Story

I served 20 years in the Air Force - from the flightline to the classroom to leadership roles around the world. I was a Master Instructor, an NCO Academy distinguished graduate, and a Lance P. Sijan Leadership Award nominee, one of the Air Force's highest individual honors.

But the hardest thing I ever did wasn't military. It was coming home.

That experience became the foundation for everything I build now - books, speaking, and direct work with people who are standing at the same edge I stood at and wondering what comes next.

A Word About "Go Slow"

You'll see that phrase at the bottom of everything I do.

It came from my dad.

He never said goodbye. His send-off, every single time - when I was a kid, when I became a man, and especially during the years I spent as his caretaker near the end of his life - was always the same two words:

"Go slow."

No matter how chaotic things got, doctor appointments, hospital visits, hard days - he always ended with that. And it stuck.

It's a reminder that life moves fast. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is slow down. Be present. Take it in.

I share it now because someone reading this might need it too.

Take care, be well, and go slow.
